Matthew Straley, MD

Medical School: Creighton University School of Medicine, 2011 Pediatric Residency: University of Minnesota, 2014 Board Certification: American Board of Pediatrics Memberships, Offices and Committee Appointments: Fellow, American Academy of Pediatrics Joined the Practice: 2021 Before joining Mendakota Pediatrics, Dr. Straley lived and worked in Albania, Laos, and Northern Virginia. Dr. Straley is passionate about forming relationships with families to best promote the health of their children. He enjoys caring for children of all ages and has a particular interest in childhood development and mental health. When not taking care of patients, Dr. Straley enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and young daughters.

COVID-19

For the most up-to-date CDC COVID Recommendations regarding vaccines, testing and quarantine, please go to: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html We are recommending every >12 years old receive any brand of the COVID vaccine. We have Pfizer COVID vaccine available for our patients >12 years. Please call 651-552-7999 to get your child scheduled! If your child has symptoms of COVID and needs to be evaluated by a doctor, please call to schedule an appointment. If your child is a patient at Mendakota Pediatrics, has symptoms of COVID, and is well enough to not be seen by a doctor, we offer nurse visit rapid COVID testing. If your child has been exposed to someone with COVID and does not have any symptoms, we offer nurse visit COVID PCR testing.  Our swabs are sent to Fairview/HealthEast and typically have a 48 hour turnaround time.
